Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe and efficient operation of the entire hotel facility, including the physical structure and all mechanical and electrical systems, while complying with safety codes and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the property’s electrical and mechanical systems, building structures, and construction practices.
  • Organize and coordinate the Property Operations Department personnel effectively.
  • Support other operational departments in their daily activities by providing relevant information regarding building facilities.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Public Attendant department to ensure the property remains presentable at all times.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the Hospitality Department, including staff and supervisors.
  • Implement effective energy management and preventive maintenance programs for the facility.
  • Adhere to all corporate purchasing policies and controls, including contractor bidding processes.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of materials and equipment to meet daily operational and maintenance needs.
  • Establish an organized system for inventory, maintenance, and storage of tools and materials necessary for departmental activities.
  • Coordinate and prepare all building contracts and service agreements.
  • Conduct building inspections and assess the safety and maintenance needs of the facility, issuing reports to address deficiencies.
  • Participate in safety meetings as required by the Senior Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures for maintenance staff.
  • Manage the staffing program for the department.
Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of operations within the hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in hospitality maintenance management, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and remain on feet for up to eight hours.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
