BMI Hospitality Management is in search of a proactive and results-oriented individual for the Facilities Operations Manager role. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining the quality and condition of our facilities. This position requires an individual who can utilize their judgment and experience to make timely decisions on urgent tasks and see them through to completion. As a leader within the department, the right candidate will be a collaborative team player who provides hands-on training to fellow team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the staffing of the Facilities department, including recruitment and termination processes, while managing the performance and development of direct reports through feedback, meetings, and clear performance objectives.
  • Conduct hands-on maintenance for guest accommodations and hotel equipment, including tasks such as painting, wall vinyl repair, and basic plumbing, while effectively delegating responsibilities to team members.
  • Maintain and repair the building's plumbing and electrical systems, including the replacement of worn or defective components like switches and fuses.
  • Recognize when a task exceeds the skill set or capacity of hotel staff and seek external assistance, such as contractors.
  • Solicit multiple bids from contractors and manage their activities on-site until project completion.
  • Respond promptly to urgent repair needs, making decisions that minimize guest disruption.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of multiple assignments.
  • Meet all deadlines in accordance with brand and company standards.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
