Golf Shop Attendant Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Golf Shop Attendant to join our team at Stonebriar Country Club. As a Golf Shop Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting the game of golf, and maintaining the overall appearance and organization of the golf shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and friendly customer service to members and guests
  • Check in golfers, accurately ring up charges, and properly check in all golfers prior to play
  • Respond to inquiries and make tee-times for members and guests
  • Converse with members and guests in a friendly manner, focusing attention on their needs while remaining calm, professional, and courteous at all times
  • Responsible for inventory controls, checking-in merchandise, and maintaining organized storage and display areas
  • Take care of all return merchandise and issue proper credit to customers
  • Assist with marshaling, starting, and outside services as needed and requested
  • Provide shop assistance to the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators
  • Assist outside golf operations and staff to ensure proper performance while following all daily procedures and policies

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • Customer service experience and basic golf knowledge are necessary
  • Ability to communicate effectively with proper grammar
  • Ability to work well under pressure, coordinating multiple tasks at any given time
  • Ability to focus attention on detail
  • Maintain good conduct and safe working habits while in all areas of the Club

Working Conditions:

The Golf Shop Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity. The ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments is required.
