JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to contribute to our culinary team. We provide excellent benefits and foster a fun atmosphere while delivering high-quality meals to our patrons.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare food items consistently according to established recipes and production standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Initiate the preparation of food items in advance, avoiding overproduction based on anticipated needs.
  • Label all food containers appropriately and rotate stock according to Crescent Services guidelines, ensuring perishables are stored at safe temperatures.
  • Monitor inventory levels for the shift, assess preparation needs, and assist in maintaining a well-stocked buffet.
  • Return unused food items to designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and dating of perishables.
  • Assist in developing strategies to address food cost issues and minimize waste in accordance with Crescent Services standards.
  • Effectively operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment including fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, and mixers.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain availability for scheduled shifts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills in English. A self-motivated and even-tempered personality is essential. Professional appearance and demeanor are required at all times. The ability to engage positively with guests is crucial. Must be willing to assist colleagues and demonstrate teamwork. Physical dexterity is necessary for operating kitchen machinery, with the capability to lift and move items weighing up to 100 lbs regularly.

Work Ethic:
To ensure a positive experience for both guests and associates, work habits should consistently meet or exceed hotel standards regarding procedures, appearance, punctuality, and attendance. Adaptability to changes in work procedures and a willingness to learn new skills are essential, along with the ability to resolve routine issues and seek assistance when needed.

Safety and Compliance:
The safety and security of our guests and staff are of utmost importance. All associates must adhere to hotel security policies, particularly regarding key controls, safe lifting practices, and reporting safety hazards.
