JOB SUMMARY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare food items consistently according to established recipes and portion standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Initiate preparation of food items in advance, avoiding overproduction based on estimated needs.
  • Label all food containers and rotate stock in compliance with company standards, ensuring perishables are stored at appropriate temperatures.
  • Monitor inventory levels for the shift, determining necessary food preparation and setup requirements, while assisting in maintaining a well-stocked buffet.
  • Return unused food items to designated storage areas, ensuring all perishables are properly covered and dated.
  • Collaborate in developing strategies to address food cost issues, minimizing waste and controlling usage in line with company standards.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, and mixers, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and be available for regular shifts.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively in English. A self-motivated attitude with a balanced demeanor is essential. Professional appearance and conduct are expected at all times, along with the ability to engage positively with guests. Teamwork is crucial, and candidates should be willing to assist colleagues as needed. Physical dexterity is required to operate kitchen machinery, with the capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 lbs. consistently.
