**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic-minded Regional Sales Director to lead our sales efforts in the Southern California region and several secondary territories. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies, building and nurturing relationships with key customer stakeholders, and expanding our customer base within multiple vertical markets for application, cloud, and infrastructure security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sales campaigns, from initial prospecting to negotiating terms and conditions, that drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets within the assigned region.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key prospects and customers, from C-level security executives to security practitioners, and leadership levels between, to understand their needs and position our platform as the solution of choice.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region, including enterprise accounts, mid-market companies, and strategic partnerships.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales leadership and other internal teams, including marketing, product management, and customer success, to ensure alignment and drive customer success.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Utilize CRM tools and sales analytics to regularly track progress, forecast revenue, and provide regular reporting on sales performance and pipeline activity.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in cybersecurity, providing insights and recommendations to inform sales strategies.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in sales roles, with a focus on application, cloud, and/or infrastructure security solutions.
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership positions, with a clear plan to attack a wide territory with several customers and many opportunities.
- Demonstrated success with the largest accounts in the region, with a clear grasp of discovery to understand prospective customers' needs and pain points to tailor our solutions effectively and drive successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Experience working in a startup, fast-paced, dynamic (changing), quota-driven sales environment.
- Ability to efficiently follow up and qualify leads from many sources.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
