Job Summary:

As a Patient Access Representative at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. Your primary responsibility will be to register patients, verify their demographic and insurance information, and process referrals. You will also be responsible for answering phones, making appointments, and performing other administrative tasks as needed. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Patient Access and Registration: Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage, register patients, and process referrals.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering their questions and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, making appointments, and processing paperwork.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. License, Certification, Registration: None required. Additional Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical office software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and practice management systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
