Job Summary

Allegro Pediatrics is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join our team. As a Patient Account Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business office, providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Phone Support: Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance information, providing clear and concise explanations and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained in our system.
  • Account Management: Manage patient accounts, including processing payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and communicating with patients and families regarding account status.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions with patients and families, including phone calls, emails, and in-person conversations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including clinical and administrative teams, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Reliability and Attendance: Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality, ensuring that patient needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Possess basic computer skills and experience with medical billing software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Previous Experience in Medical Billing or Customer Service: Preferred.
