This role is responsible for reviewing and approving service provider utility-level electric construction billing invoices, as well as assisting in financial, statistical, and operational studies to support initiatives and ongoing informational reporting needs of PSE Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities- Review and audit service provider utility-level electric construction job packets for completeness, data integrity, and correct account coding.
- Develop and maintain ad-hoc reporting with minimal assistance.
- Collect and analyze cost and operational data from internal and external resources.
- Support Operations capital and O&M budgeting and monthly reporting process.
- Perform routine accounting functions, such as journal entries.
- Research and resolve data, accounting, and forecast problems.
- Perform monthly problem order review and order clean-up functions.
- Provide training and mentoring to other team members and departments on work processes.
- AA/AS in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in a department or related field.
- Knowledge of FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) Accounting.
- Experience in Process Improvement techniques.
- Experience with MS Office Suite, including Access and Visio.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet plans and goals.
- Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in a professional manner.
- Works effectively in a matrix environment.
- Proficient in review of complex utility-level electric construction billing invoices.
- Proficiency with BW.
- Experience working in the gas and/or electric industry.
