About the Role

Copper River & The Native Village of Eyak is seeking a highly skilled Patient Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare services team, you will be responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying beneficiary eligibility, and coordinating with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule appointments for patients with healthcare providers, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
  • Beneficiary Eligibility Verification: Verify beneficiary eligibility through the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) system.
  • Coordination with Healthcare Providers: Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Call Routing and Documentation: Manage call routing and documentation to ensure efficient communication with patients and healthcare providers.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
  • Required Knowledge/Experience: Skilled in Word, Excel, Access, and other software programs. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience: Healthcare administrative experience.
