Position Overview
As the Nursing Operations Supervisor at Catholic Health Initiatives, you will lead a dedicated team of nurses providing exceptional care to patients. Your extensive background in acute care will significantly enhance our nursing staff's capabilities.

To excel in this position, accountability and confidence are essential. You will be an effective communicator, engaging in meaningful discussions with physicians, consultants, and family advocates.

Comfort in navigating challenging conversations is crucial, as you will oversee the performance of your team and the unit.

A comprehensive understanding of inpatient and outpatient nursing, nursing administration, relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, and professional standards is required. Strong project management, communication, strategic planning, and change management skills are essential. You should embody personal traits such as high motivation, teamwork, professionalism, trust, and a commitment to treating others with dignity and respect.

This role is integral to the Mission and Vision of Catholic Health Initiatives, providing supervisory oversight of daily departmental operations and team members.

As a manager, you will plan, organize, and lead resources with your assigned team while also contributing as an individual within the department.

You will play a key role in implementing Catholic Health Initiatives' strategic initiatives and priorities.

As a role model for ethical management practices, you will foster an understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Commitments of Catholic Health Initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with nursing leadership and human resources to recruit, onboard, evaluate, and develop staff.
+ Assign daily tasks and oversee the functional and technical performance of team members.
+ Manage staffing requirements to meet patient and departmental needs, ensuring overall staffing adequacy.

  • Performance Management:

Set clear goals, clarify job expectations, monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, recognize achievements, and address performance challenges in collaboration with human resources.

Ensure the quality of patient care is upheld, delivering personalized nursing services.

Review incident reports to enhance patient and staff safety, making timely recommendations for improvements.

Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop educational programs that foster skill enhancement and maximize nursing practice.

Oversee patient care delivery to enhance patient and family satisfaction while minimizing risks.

Lead staff during emergency situations and advocate for patients and their families.

Act as a resource for team members, ensuring timely and accurate assessments, interventions, and documentation in medical records and care plans.

Utilize digital assessment and care planning tools effectively.

Address patient and office concerns promptly to ensure quality care is maintained.

Assist in the orientation and training of new staff, serving as a resource for the team.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.


Qualifications
+ An Associate's degree in Nursing is acceptable with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with no prior experience.
+ Must hold a valid nursing license in the state, along with BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
+ A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Compensation
