This role can be based in various locations within 90 minutes of a major airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training sessions for engineers, architects, contractors, and wholesalers.
  • Manage assigned regional sales territories, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication with engineering, production, technical sales, and clients.
  • Engage with mechanical engineers.
  • Analyze and comprehend building code standards, providing recommendations to engineers.
  • Oversee product management, coordinating interdepartmental efforts for new product developments and enhancements.
  • Provide customer training on technical fire life safety products.
  • Support direct sales efforts for regional manufacturers' representatives, including:
    • Mechanical engineers
    • Multifamily architects
    • Design-Build Contractors
    • Manufacturers' Representatives
    • Wholesalers
    • Building Inspectors
  • Conduct market research.
  • Collaborate with the engineering design team to recommend and manage new products or product enhancements within a specific product line.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience (excluding college internships).
  • Preferred experience in HVAC sales, construction, or related trades.
  • Experience delivering presentations to large groups.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Basic understanding of geometric and dimensional tolerances as applied to technical drawings and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Sales Logix, Sales Force, InforCRM, etc.).
  • Effective interdepartmental communication skills.
  • Organizational skills to maintain schedules and communicate changes effectively.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Enthusiastic, driven, and achievement-oriented personality.
  • Positive attitude and ethical standards that align with the company's values and promote a high-performance culture.
  • Experience with ATI Revit modeling.
  • Ability to interpret AutoCAD detail drawings.
  • Knowledge of codes and requirements according to ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IBC, IMC, LEED, and USGBC standards.
