KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as a subject matter expert for nVent Data Solutions offerings, providing insights and support across various functions such as Sales, Product Management, and Operations.
  • Deliver primary product assistance by aiding customers and team members in utilizing nVent Cooling and Power solutions.
  • Assess customer requests for quotations (RFQs) and develop comprehensive cost estimates and proposals with both technical and commercial elements.
  • Offer technical application guidance to determine customized and engineered products tailored to client specifications and application needs.
  • Prepare and submit quotes and proposals for non-standard products utilizing internal CPQ and ERP systems.
  • Conduct product training sessions for clients and educate distributors on quoting methodologies.
  • Compile compliance documentation in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Lead strategic initiatives aimed at product enhancement, cost efficiency, product integration, and the development of new offerings.
  • Review training materials for technical precision, including installation manuals and operational guidelines.
  • Represent nVent in industry standards committees and contribute to the development of codes and regulations.
  • Provide market-specific insights and feedback on products and services to commercial teams, assisting with voice-of-customer (VOC) engagements.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Leader to plan strategic activities.
  • Identify projects nearing closure with the sales team and deliver essential technical support.
  • Keep management informed about significant developments and decisions requiring their input or approval.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Applications Engineering, or equivalent experience in Data Center engineering.
  • Preferably 5+ years of experience in a technical application role supporting Data Center solutions.
  • Ability to work remotely with an average travel requirement of 30% across primarily the US and Canada.
  • Knowledge of High-Density Liquid Cooling Solutions within the Data Center environment.
  • Strong technical foundation regarding Data Center Power requirements at the rack or PDU level.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • This position is available in multiple locations, but only one hire will be made.

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

nVent's compensation structure is based on the anticipated range of total target cash pay for this role, which includes base salary and potential sales incentives. Pay will be determined by a combination of factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and performance.
