Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Business Line Manager, Growth and Metals.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the chance to assist the designated Sales organization and clients throughout the proposal phase. Daily, you will act as a vital technical resource in your designated area. Your expertise will be showcased through the preparation of technical specifications for products and technologies, cost assessments, and final documentation. The work model for this position is hybrid. You will primarily contribute to the Process Automation Process Industries division. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Providing technical guidance and solutions for inquiries from clients/channels/Sales Specialists regarding ABB products/systems/applications.
• Conducting analytical and diagnostic evaluations to identify the best technical solutions to fulfill customer requirements and address intricate inquiries.
• Cultivating and sustaining new sales opportunities while resolving specific customer challenges; ensuring the achievement of targets related to orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
• Guaranteeing the accomplishment of budgetary objectives, including volume targets and profitable growth across all assigned product categories and respective regions.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related field is required, or equivalent extensive technical experience in Data Centers is preferred. Familiarity with the following industries is advantageous: Food & Beverage, Cement, Metals Industries.
  • Over 10 years of experience in sales or business development related to digital/automation solutions and products in a Process Industry is required.
  • Experience in business development, capital equipment sales, or service sales.
  • A focus on end users, with the ability to listen and understand their desires, needs, goals, and objectives, as well as their purchasing and maintenance processes.
  • Capability to assist in the development of proposals and strategies that lead to successful orders.
  • Willingness to travel 50% to 60% of the time.
  • A solid understanding of process control and automation solutions.
  • Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
