Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing Acosta's corporate client business development process. This includes researching and analyzing potential client opportunities, developing client presentation strategies, and analyzing and developing Acosta's and client business presentations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with various levels within the Acosta organization and with clients, and have a strong understanding of market trends and competitive landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and participate in development, analysis, and research activities to help Acosta and clients increase market share.
- Field various calls and requests from clients regarding regular business needs.
- Maintain essential slides, trackers, and historical information for use in presentations to clients and Acosta.
- Assist in the analysis of clients' business opportunities, including value quantification, overall trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Act as the point person for all clients within the Business Development Manager's portfolio, working with client senior-level management and the Acosta organization.
- Assist in the development of client strategies, identifying opportunity gaps and strategies to help potential clients close those gaps.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining Acosta and client budgets monthly, communicating to clients and Acosta monthly budget reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts Degree
- 3-5 years of Category Management experience
- Some Business Management (Account Manager or Business Manager) experience preferred
- 3-5 years of Acosta (or similar agency) experience preferred (knowledge of systems, process, structure)
Preferred Skills
- Presentation strategy skills
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
- Power BI experience is a plus
