Job Summary

Outdoor Cap is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. As a key member of our business intelligence team, you will be responsible for driving business efficiencies by providing insights supported by thorough data-driven analysis on key workflow, sales, and operational metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team in all their reporting and analytics needs, including daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Work with internal sales teams to ensure stock inventory reporting is accurate for customer replenishment and fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with business partners, data analysts, and IT to define data requirements and execute to streamline data collection, transformation, and visualization.
  • Utilize Power BI, data, and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information by developing refreshable and dynamic KPI reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis support for the business.
  • Serve as an expert data interpreter, understanding data and driving actionable insights from the data to support business decisions.
  • Build automated, repeatable, and streamlined reports leveraging Power BI, data warehouse, and analytics best practices and standards.
  • Perform data analysis utilizing appropriate analytics methodologies and foster data-driven decision-making by providing valuable consultative analytics support to sales and executive leadership.
  • Serve as a trainer for the BI team, supporting other BI analysts for report automation, technical support, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements
  • Highly proficient with MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, SSIS, Power BI, Data Modelling.
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries and use of Relational Keys, Select Queries, Joins, Data Modelling, Fact and Dimension Table Types, Different Schemas, DDL, DML.
  • Strong customer service and presentation skills, being able to interact with customers and key business partners.

Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field; and/or equivalent combination of related experience and/or training.
  • 3+ years' experience in designing and developing datasets in either Power BI or Tableau for reporting and self-service BI.
  • 3+ years' experience in dimensional data modeling; star or other schemas.
  • 2+ years of recent direct experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS.
  • Highly proficient in data warehouse concepts and architectures.
  • Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate a huge plus.
