JOB SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Clinic Directors, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and collaborating with various departments to ensure outstanding patient and family care that aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Campbell County Health (CCH) and Campbell County Medical Group (CCMG).

This role entails providing clinical oversight, planning, assigning, and managing the work of both professional and non-professional nursing staff, physicians, and advanced clinical providers within the clinics under their purview.

The Clinical Supervisor will participate in the recruitment and hiring of clinical staff and will be directly involved in the orientation and training of clinical personnel. Additionally, this position will integrate clinic improvement goals across the care continuum and is responsible for daily charge reconciliation for assigned clinics in collaboration with the Operational Supervisor.

Collaboration with the Clinical Clinic Director and Operational Clinic Director is essential, including the preparation of monthly and bi-weekly statistical analyses of key clinic functions.



PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of Ambulatory Clinic operations and provides daily oversight and management of staff performance to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Guarantees exceptional ongoing patient satisfaction and customer service.
- Conducts management responsibilities in a professional and positive manner.
- Utilizes excellent interpersonal skills in managing and coordinating clinical staff.
- Applies effective problem-solving abilities.
- Exhibits proficient time management and prioritization skills.
- Ensures staff accountability in executing the nursing process, including assessment, implementation, updating care plans, performing interventions, providing patient and family education, and evaluating outcomes.
- Delegates tasks to staff and supervises follow-up.
- Is proficient in all electronic health record applications and Microsoft Office, preparing reports and summaries as necessary.
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness in all paperwork and documentation.
- Participates in the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of clinical staff, as well as performance evaluations in conjunction with the Clinic Directors.
- Plans and assists with departmental training implementation, including orientation, competency assessment, mentoring, coaching, and evaluation (with input from the Director).
- Ensures staff are adequately trained in current services and procedures for competency in best practices.
- Assists in developing the departmental budget and maintains fiscal compliance.
- Evaluates, implements, and coordinates training for new procedures and equipment.
- Reviews, adjusts, and plans daily staffing levels to ensure safe and cost-effective patient care, including managing unexpected absences.
- Communicates with the Front Desk Supervisor (when applicable) to facilitate excellent patient flow and cohesive service.
- Monitors medical supply levels and ensures timely ordering processes.
- Conducts daily charge reconciliation for all assigned clinics.
- Responsible for setting agendas and conducting monthly staff meetings in collaboration with Clinic Directors.
- Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and clinic Directors.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all personnel and patient care information.
- Ensures all staff represent CCH and CCMG professionally.
- Actively participates in Strategic Planning for the department and organization.
- Collaborates in developing and achieving departmental goals and objectives.
- Engages in Customer/Guest Relations and Mandatory Education programs.
- Participates in formulating departmental policies and ensures staff compliance with Hospital, Ambulatory Clinic, and departmental standards of practice.
- Assists in developing and implementing the departmental strategic plan as assigned.
- May be required to manage in other clinic environments based on staff and patient load distribution.
- Models and enforces CCH & CCMG mission, vision, and values.
- Must be free from governmental sanctions related to healthcare and financial practices.
- Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program, including the Code of Conduct, laws, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.

Licensure
- Valid Wyoming RN license.

Experience
- Experience in an ambulatory clinic is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) is preferred.

Must possess current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR within 60 days of employment.

- Capability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing 40 pounds or less in the assessment and implementation of patient care.

- Requires advanced mental faculties accompanied by short- and long-term memory. Ability to function in stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively.

Essential Sensory Requirements
- Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.

Exposure to Hazards:
OSHA CATEGORY I. TASKS INVOLVING EXPOSURE TO BLOOD, BODY FLUIDS, OR TISSUES.

All procedures or job-related tasks that involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or potential spills or splashes of them, are categorized as Category I Tasks.

Appropriate protective measures are mandatory for every employee engaged in Category I Tasks.

Hours of Work:
Varied scheduled shifts based on the individual clinic setting.
Completion of all hospital and clinic-required mandatory education is expected.
