POSITION SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Clinic Directors, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and collaborating with various departments to ensure high-quality patient and family care in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Campbell County Health (CCH) and Campbell County Medical Group (CCMG).

This role involves providing clinical oversight, planning, assigning, and managing the activities of both professional and non-professional nursing staff, physicians, and advanced clinical providers within the assigned clinics.

The Clinical Supervisor will play a key role in the recruitment and onboarding of clinical staff, ensuring that personnel are well-oriented and trained. Additionally, this position will work towards integrating clinic improvement goals across the care continuum. Daily charge reconciliation for the assigned clinics will also be part of the responsibilities, in collaboration with the Operational Supervisor.

Collaboration with the Clinical Clinic Director and Operational Clinic Director is essential, including the preparation of monthly and bi-weekly statistical analyses of key clinic functions.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of Ambulatory Clinic operations and provides daily oversight and management of staff performance to ensure smooth clinic functioning.
Ensures ongoing patient satisfaction and exceptional customer service.
Conducts management duties with professionalism and positivity.
Utilizes strong interpersonal skills in managing and coordinating clinical staff.
Employs effective problem-solving techniques.
Demonstrates proficient time management and prioritization abilities.
Ensures staff accountability in executing the nursing process, including assessment, implementation, updating care plans, performing interventions, providing patient and family education, and evaluating outcomes.
Delegates tasks to staff and supervises follow-up.
Proficient in electronic health records applications and Microsoft Office, preparing necessary reports and summaries.
Ensures all documentation is accurate and timely.
Participates in the hiring and onboarding of clinical staff, as well as performance evaluations in collaboration with the Clinic Directors.
Responsible for planning and assisting with departmental training, including orientation, competency assessments, mentoring, coaching, and evaluations (with input from the Director).
Ensures staff are adequately trained in current services and procedures to maintain best practices.
Assists in developing departmental budgets and maintaining fiscal compliance.
Evaluates, implements, and coordinates training for new procedures and equipment.
Reviews and adjusts daily staffing levels to ensure safe and cost-effective patient care, completing clinical staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
Communicates with the Front Desk Supervisor (when applicable) to facilitate excellent patient flow and cohesive service.
Monitors medical supply levels, ensuring timely ordering processes.
Conducts daily charge reconciliation for all assigned clinics.
Responsible for setting agendas and conducting monthly staff meetings in collaboration with Clinic Directors.
Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and clinic Directors.
Maintains confidentiality regarding all personnel and patient care information.
Ensures all staff represent CCH and CCMG professionally.
Actively engages in Strategic Planning for the department and organization.
Collaborates in the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
Participates in Customer/Guest Relations and Mandatory Education programs.
Contributes to the development of departmental policies and ensures staff compliance with Hospital, Ambulatory Clinic, and departmental standards of practice.
Assists in the development and implementation of departmental strategic plans as assigned.
May be required to manage in other clinic environments based on staff and patient load distribution.
Models and enforces CCH & CCMG mission, vision, and values.
Must be free from governmental sanctions related to healthcare and financial practices.
Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program, including the Code of Conduct, laws, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

Current Wyoming RN license.

Experience

Preferred experience in an ambulatory clinic setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) is preferred.

Must possess current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR certification within 60 days of employment.

Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and staff. Capable of working independently and solving problems with minimal oversight.

Interpersonal Skills

Ability to foster positive interactions with patients, their families, physicians, and staff to ensure effective patient care.

Essential Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing 40 pounds or less while providing patient care.

Essential Mental Abilities

Requires advanced mental faculties, including short- and long-term memory. Ability to function under stress and prioritize tasks effectively.

Essential Sensory Requirements

Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.

OSHA CATEGORY I. TASKS INVOLVING EXPOSURE TO BLOOD, BODY FLUIDS, OR TISSUES.

All procedures or job-related tasks that present an inherent risk of contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or potential spills or splashes, are classified as Category I Tasks.

Appropriate protective measures are mandatory for all employees engaged in Category I Tasks.

WORK HOURS:
Varied scheduled shifts based on the specific clinic environment.
Completion of all mandatory education requirements for the hospital and clinic is expected.
