JOB SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Clinic Directors, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and collaborating with various departments to ensure outstanding patient and family care that aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Campbell County Health (CCH) and Campbell County Medical Group (CCMG).

This role entails providing clinical oversight, planning, delegating, and managing the work of both professional and non-professional nursing staff, physicians, and advanced clinical providers within the assigned clinics.

The Clinical Supervisor is involved in the recruitment and hiring of clinical staff and is directly responsible for the orientation and training of clinical personnel. This position will also integrate clinic goals for improvement across the care continuum. Additionally, the Clinical Supervisor will oversee daily charge reconciliation for their designated clinics, in collaboration with the Operational Supervisor.

Collaboration with the Clinical Clinic Director and Operational Clinic Director is essential, including the preparation of monthly and bi-weekly statistical analyses of key clinic functions.



PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of Ambulatory Clinic operations and provides daily oversight and management of staff performance to ensure efficient clinic functioning.
Ensures high levels of patient satisfaction and exceptional customer service.
Conducts management responsibilities in a professional and positive manner.
Utilizes excellent interpersonal skills in managing and coordinating clinical staff.
Applies effective problem-solving abilities.
Exhibits strong time management and prioritization skills.
Ensures staff accountability in executing the nursing process, including assessment, implementation, updating care plans, performing interventions, providing patient and family education, and evaluating outcomes.
Delegates tasks to staff and supervises follow-up.
Proficient in all electronic health record applications.
Skilled in Microsoft Office for preparing reports and summaries as required.
Ensures accuracy and timeliness in all paperwork and documentation.
Participates in the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of clinical staff, as well as performance evaluations in conjunction with the Clinic Directors.
Responsible for planning and assisting with departmental training, including orientation, competency assessment, mentoring, coaching, and evaluation (with input from the Director).
Ensures staff are adequately trained in current services and procedures for competency in best practices.
Assists in developing the departmental budget and maintaining fiscal compliance.
Evaluates, implements, and coordinates training for new procedures and equipment.
Reviews and adjusts daily staffing levels to ensure safe and cost-effective patient care. Completes clinical staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage, including providing coverage for unexpected absences.
Communicates with the Front Desk Supervisor (when applicable) to facilitate excellent patient flow and cohesive service.
Monitors medical supply levels and ensures timely ordering processes.
Conducts daily charge reconciliation for all responsible clinics.
Responsible for setting agendas and conducting monthly staff meetings in collaboration with Clinic Directors.
Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and clinic Directors.
Maintains confidentiality regarding all personnel and patient care information.
Ensures that all staff represent CCH and CCMG professionally.
Actively participates in Strategic Planning for the department and organization.
Collaborates in the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
Engages in Customer/Guest Relations and Mandatory Education programs.
Contributes to the development of departmental policies and ensures staff compliance with Hospital, Ambulatory Clinic, and departmental standards of practice.
Assists with the development and implementation of departmental strategic plans as assigned.
May be required to manage in other clinic environments based on staff and patient load distribution.
Upholds and models the mission, vision, and values of CCH & CCMG.
Must be free from governmental sanctions related to healthcare and/or financial practices.
Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program, including adherence to the Code of Conduct, laws, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

Wyoming RN license required.

Experience

Preferred experience in an ambulatory clinic setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) is preferred.

Must possess current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR certification within 60 days of employment.

Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing 40 pounds or less in the assessment and implementation of patient care.

Requires a higher level of mental faculties accompanied by short- and long-term memory. Ability to function in stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively.

Essential Sensory Requirements

Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.

Exposure to Hazards:
OSHA CATEGORY I. TASKS INVOLVING EXPOSURE TO BLOOD, BODY FLUIDS, OR TISSUES.

All procedures or job-related tasks that present an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or potential for spills or splashes, are categorized as Category I Tasks.

Appropriate protective measures are required for every employee engaged in Category I Tasks.

Varied scheduled shifts according to the individual clinic setting.
Completion of all mandatory education required by the hospital and clinic.
