Position Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Physician Operations or their designated representative, this role encompasses a comprehensive range of physician services aimed at assessing, diagnosing, planning, and treating diverse patient health issues, illnesses, or injuries within our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive clinical coordination of patient care, leading to timely, high-quality, and customer-focused integrated healthcare.
  • Deliver evidence-based direct patient care, including thorough clinical assessments, diagnoses, planning, and treatment for various health conditions.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on assessment data and diagnoses, outlining interventions, treatments, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Communicate patient data effectively to the interdisciplinary team as needed and prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the interdisciplinary team in assessing and implementing patient care interventions.
  • Act as a patient advocate, maintaining confidentiality and assisting patients in understanding their treatment options.
  • Regularly communicate care plans to patients and their families, promoting informed decision-making regarding treatment and health promotion.
  • Ensure accurate documentation practices that reflect the intensity of services provided and the severity of illnesses.
  • Engage in collaborative consultations with other physicians regarding patient care evaluation and management.
  • Work alongside administrative leadership to enhance resource utilization, practice efficiency, and quality protocols.
Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with a valid medical license in the state of Illinois. Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry is required, along with an active DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License. Current CPR certification or specialty-specific advanced life support certification is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare team members. A solid understanding of evidence-based medical care standards for the specialty area is essential, along with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and prioritize patient care efficiently.
