Position Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide specialized psychiatric services to individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. Your role is essential in fostering the mental health and recovery of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status assessments and comprehensive medical histories, to formulate tailored treatment strategies.
  • Delivering evidence-based psychiatric assessments and medication management for patients with diverse mental health issues, such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including psychologists, nursing staff, and social workers, to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Monitoring and modifying treatment plans as necessary to enhance patient outcomes, employing a patient-centered and recovery-focused methodology.
  • Administering and overseeing psychotropic medications and therapies, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Maintaining precise and current patient documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, in accordance with institutional policies and legal requirements.
  • Engaging in case discussions, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to assess patient progress and offer care recommendations.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families, promoting mental health awareness and offering resources for coping and self-management.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in psychiatric care through continuous professional education and training.
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Medicine is mandatory.
  • DEA registration is required.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry is essential.
  • Active medical license in Illinois is necessary.
