Your Role:
The Revenue Cycle Analyst for Epic Hospital Billing possesses a thorough understanding of system configuration and implementation, with the capability to analyze and comprehend business challenges, and the expertise to propose solutions that align with the organization’s objectives of sustaining clinical and operational systems.
This role is crucial in providing a secure, efficient, integrated patient care delivery system that consistently enhances outcomes, reduces costs, boosts efficiency, and improves patient experiences.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with healthcare professionals and system users to design, construct, test, train, implement, assess, and maintain Epic and related systems.
Your Contribution to the Team:
Exhibits proficiency or advanced functional knowledge of Epic, relevant third-party solutions, and the Microsoft product suite.
Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with all stakeholders; engages with clients and sponsors to gather business and technical requirements.
Demonstrates an understanding of processes within the facility department; evaluates workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process modifications, and develops future workflows related to the implementation of new solutions or functionalities.
Designs, builds, and configures within assigned Epic system modules and any supporting third-party applications; develops and maintains system process documentation and outlines process steps using appropriate tools; identifies and implements requested changes to the system.
Creates and develops test scripts and materials for comprehensive workflow testing; conducts unit, system, and integration testing per standards, including negative and regression testing; documents results.
Adheres to departmental standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases; provides documentation on system upgrades and new releases of Epic applications; offers training as needed.
Diagnoses issues or system deficiencies and initiates escalation procedures with minimal supervision as required. Provides recommendations for resolving identified problems.
Participates in or leads multiple cross-functional projects; understands project planning and coordination methodologies utilizing project management skills, tools, and lean methodologies.
Offers guidance and serves as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants.
Actively engages in project, team, departmental, and other meetings as required. Reports status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and any barriers to management.
Participates in on-call responsibilities in support of a 24/7 production systems environment; acts as the primary support contact for the application’s end-users.
Qualifications:
Essential Expertise and Experience:
A college degree (AS, Diploma, B.A., B.S. or 2-4 years of equivalent experience) in a field such as business, information systems, or a healthcare-related discipline is required.
Certification in Resolute Hospital Billing Administration.
Maintenance of current licensure or certification related to the area of specialty.
Experience in conveying complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills and strong analytical abilities.
Annual participation in ongoing education, whether formal or through conferences, active professional organization involvement, or journal presentations.
