Your Role:
The Epic Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst possesses a thorough understanding of system configuration and deployment, the capability to analyze and address business challenges, and the expertise to propose solutions that align with the organizational objectives of sustaining clinical and operational systems. This role ensures a secure, efficient, integrated patient care delivery system that continuously enhances outcomes, reduces expenses, boosts efficiency, and improves patient experiences. Key responsibilities include collaborating with healthcare professionals and system users to design, construct, test, train, implement, assess, and sustain Epic and related systems.
The Epic Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst must leverage knowledge of clinical and operational practices, computer science, and information technology to manage data and identify components suitable for development while ensuring compliance with professional standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and users to analyze and document workflows, conducting gap analyses, identifying necessary process modifications, and developing future workflows during the implementation of new solutions or functionalities. Effective communication with all levels of hospital leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff is essential for this role.
Your Contributions to the Team:
• Demonstrates foundational knowledge of Epic, relevant third-party solutions, and the Microsoft suite of products.
• Designs, builds, and configures within assigned Epic system modules and any supporting third-party applications.
• Develops and maintains system process documentation and outlines process steps using appropriate tools; identifies and implements requested changes to the system.
• Creates and develops test scripts and materials for comprehensive workflow testing; conducts unit, system, and integration testing according to standards, including negative and regression testing; documents results.
• Stays informed on industry trends and vendor/application/system updates. Ensures that all software modifications/upgrades function according to Epic specifications.
• Adheres to departmental standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases; provides documentation on system upgrades and new releases of Epic applications; offers training as needed.
• Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies and initiates escalation procedures as necessary. Provides recommendations for resolving identified problems.
• Engages in multiple cross-functional projects; understands project planning and coordination methodologies utilizing project management skills, tools, and lean methodologies.
• Actively participates in project, team, departmental, and other meetings as required. Reports status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and any obstacles to management.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities in support of a 24/7 production systems environment; serves as the primary support contact for the application's end-users.

• Annual participation in ongoing education, whether formal or through conferences, active professional organization involvement, or journal presentations.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
• Maintenance of current licensure or certification related to the area of specialty (OT, OT, SLP, RN, RPH, RT, AART, AHIMA, HFMA, NAHAM, etc.).
• Epic Certification or the ability to complete certification within three months of completing classes.
*Epic HIM Identity experience is required, and certification in Identity is preferred.
