Key Responsibilities

Primary Function: Oversee and manage the operational and personnel activities within the Logistics Department to ensure efficient, consistent, and cost-effective services for all internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties:

  • Supervise one or more processes within the Logistics Department, delegating tasks to staff members.
  • Initiate and prepare documentation for personnel and payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with current departmental and institutional policies, as well as government regulations, by training team members accordingly.
  • Monitor productivity standards and control systems, interpreting data to enhance work efficiency and communicating findings to management.
  • Assess and implement ongoing training and orientation programs for team members.
  • Assist in developing new policies and procedures, ensuring effective training is completed.
  • Evaluate staff performance and address any necessary corrective actions.
  • Maintain necessary supplies and tools for team operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve service-related issues.
  • Maintain a professional rapport with hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.
  • Handle employee grievances and conduct interviews for new hires.
  • Participate in the development of program proposals and reports.
  • Provide technical assistance and training within the Medical Center.
  • Engage in product evaluations for medical equipment and supplies.
  • Assist management in adhering to the operating budget.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required

A Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree with two years of supervisory experience in a relevant field, or six years of supervisory experience or equivalent military/professional experience.

Demonstrated strong work ethic, commitment to quality, and customer service.

Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage staff using a collaborative approach.

Understanding of budgeting processes and profit/loss awareness.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.

Ability to perform under pressure and willingness to work flexible hours.

Desired Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred, along with progressive supervisory experience.

Familiarity with University policies and procedures is advantageous.

Experience in a union environment is a plus.

Work Schedule

Standard hours: 40 hours per week

Work days: Monday to Friday

Shift hours: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
