Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Control and Logistics Manager to join our team at Extang Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire material flow, planning, and execution process, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Ensure adherence to policies and procedures of inventory management, including internal and external controls.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Lead the manufacturing production schedule, collaborate with corporate planning, and develop optimal operational plans that incorporate manufacturing constraints.
  • Supplier Management: Accountable for the enforcement and management of commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure efficient flow of parts into the operation.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with manufacturing leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize total cost and maintain inventory targets that support our ability to deliver on our customer promises.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, lead, and develop the plant's materials organization.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Report to material and manufacturing leadership on production status and identify countermeasures.
  • Process Analysis: Analyze data, process flows, and supply chain functions to maximize resources.
  • Accountability: Assign ownership and accountability for process issues and corrections.
  • Performance Improvement: Develop and challenge resources to improve performance through optimized systems, continuous process improvements, and drive direct and indirect material savings.
  • Budgeting: Prepare and maintain annual materials operating budgets.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related or technical field required; 5+ years of supply chain experience required; 2+ years in a leadership role required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications; skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel; skilled in ERP Software; ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing; ability to find solutions and deal proactively with work-related problems; ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
