Key Responsibilities
The Accounting Supervisor will:

  • Oversee the finance function, including the execution of periodic financial reconciliations, contract management, and detailed financial analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports and metrics to internal and external stakeholders, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes, including cost analyses and collaboration on budget creation and reforecasting.
  • Implement compliance processes and internal controls, establishing financial policies and procedures that align with best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to University standards and GAAP through comprehensive analyses and reporting.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, participating in hiring committees and performance management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to support strategic finance initiatives, ensuring sound financial operations.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in database management systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in accounting software and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Desired:
  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with University procurement policies and financial systems.
