Position Overview

At Howard S Wright Construction, a Balfour Beatty Company, we are looking for a Senior Marketing Project Lead. This position is responsible for overseeing marketing and communication initiatives, including proposals, presentations, advertising, brochure creation, events, direct mail, and other marketing campaigns. The Senior Marketing Project Lead will ensure compliance with company policies, maintain message consistency, and coordinate efforts that align with the Balfour Beatty brand. Additionally, this role will support business acquisition efforts and facilitate both internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Marketing Manager or Director with departmental administrative tasks (workflow and processes, delegating responsibilities among team members).
  • Lead the preparation of responses to requests for proposals, qualifications, and other necessary information (scheduling, planning, strategy, task assignments, follow-up, editing, and meeting coordination).
  • Collaborate with executives and business unit leaders to enhance the company's visibility in targeted markets.
  • Contribute ideas and assist in the strategic planning process.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability.
  • Continuously improve and update standard proposal materials and presentations.
  • Coordinate with the team to optimize the sharing and archiving of resumes, proposals, presentations, and other materials.
  • Support presentation strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, including photographers, design consultants, printers, and suppliers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with owners and design team partners for project pursuits, client requests, and event coordination.
  • Lead internal and external communication projects, including award nominations, announcements, newsletters, and direct mail.
  • Coordinate photo shoots for people and projects.
  • Actively engage in industry associations to represent and promote Balfour Beatty through committee involvement or leadership.
  • Provide training and guidance to marketing coordinators and senior marketing coordinators.
  • Participate in updates and maintenance of company vision.
  • Foster effective relationships with customers, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect the company's core values and meet or exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, technical writing, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 6 years of marketing experience.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers (PC) and company communication tools, including email, the internet, and Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in creating RFP responses and presentations within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Experience in maintaining database information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or previous marketing experience in the A/E/C industry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently while being a positive team member.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Capability to maximize sponsorship and event exposure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
