ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are in search of a Lead Product Strategist to bolster our product management team, overseeing current product lines while advocating for the next wave of interactive solutions. This role involves thorough research, comprehension, and communication of end-user needs, alongside making informed recommendations for product enhancements. The primary responsibility will be to craft the product roadmap, establish requirements, and oversee the implementation within the End to End Line Planning processes. A background in the A/V sector, combined with a strong technical aptitude and prior product management experience, will position you as an ideal candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the VP of Product Development to define product vision, positioning, and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching goals.
  • Analyze and monitor market opportunities, trends, sales performance, competitive landscape, and other research data to make well-informed recommendations regarding new opportunities, service enhancements, and cost efficiencies.
  • Establish and manage criteria for project success.
  • Communicate product status, key challenges, and launch strategies effectively and promptly to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Determine necessary reports, metrics, and analyses to evaluate the effectiveness and success of completed projects.
  • Oversee select products continuously, including product line extensions, enhancements, forecasting, end-of-life planning, and related activities.
  • Take ownership of Product Management processes, documentation, and reporting.
  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications, enhancements, go-to-market strategies, and drive the product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Marketing, and Sales teams on product launch initiatives, including positioning, messaging, pricing, promotion, sales strategies, trade shows, customer training, and support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 10-12 years of comprehensive experience across all facets of the product lifecycle.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the A/V, IT, or Unified Communication sectors is preferred.
  • Proficient in conducting product, pricing, and competitive market research.
  • Ability to manage risks and propose logical trade-offs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and drive them to meet deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker with the capability to implement at a tactical level.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain organization and timeliness in achieving work objectives.
  • Focus on task completion based on established schedules.
  • Proven ability to develop internal processes.
  • Experience working with vendors and coordinating schedules.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
