Position Overview

The Anesthesia Support Specialist will be tasked with:
  • Maintaining, organizing, and replenishing the anesthesia supply area and apparatus across all surgical suites and related anesthetic sites.
  • Assisting the anesthesia team in delivering safe and effective patient care during anesthesia administration.
  • Providing specialized tools and equipment to support anesthesia professionals as needed.
  • Preparing anesthesia machines and carts for the subsequent day's operations.
  • Compiling and readying intravenous (IV) solutions for the anesthesia team.
  • Collaborating with the perioperative team to facilitate timely turnover of operating rooms.
  • Supporting complex airway management by supplying necessary equipment such as video laryngoscopes and fiberoptic intubation setups.
  • Preparing age-appropriate anesthesia apparatus, monitoring devices, and airway management tools.
Work Schedule: 6am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week, no weekends required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to collect and interpret data in routine situations.
  • Ability to communicate factual information and relay messages to relevant personnel with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Effective communication skills with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
