About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Department Manager to join our team at Billy Howell Ford Lincoln. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our service department, ensuring that our customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee service orders and flow of the Drive Lane to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs.
  • Take ownership of the customer's experience by carrying out additional assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer.
  • Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled.
  • Ensure the daily inventory of technicians' time is consistently sold to service customers.
  • Distribute work between technicians efficiently to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Answer technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs to provide expert guidance to customers.
  • Maintain Customer Happiness scores at or above company standards by ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Assist in diagnosing vehicle problems, order parts and tools as necessary, and oversee the administration of warranty claims.
  • Supervise and train service department employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
  • Set schedules and assign tasks to service department employees to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Reinforce company policies and adhere to company standards to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Encourage compliance with applicable laws and regulations to ensure the dealership remains in good standing.
  • Maintain good working relationships with factory representatives and foster positive employee relations to promote a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with upper management to make service department hiring and discipline decisions.

  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license to ensure safe transportation of customers and employees.
  • Previous Ford-Lincoln Service Advisor experience is a major plus.
