GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
This role is situated within the Office of Intervention and Detention Alternatives (OIDA), committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients while guiding them towards becoming responsible and productive members of society.
The position involves supporting clients and OIDA personnel with appointments, inquiries, data management, processing payments for mandated services, handling court documentation, and preparing correspondence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provide exemplary customer service by managing incoming calls on multi-line systems, directing inquiries, and welcoming visitors professionally.
- Conduct client intake and manage files, ensuring accurate documentation and instructions are provided to clients.
- Process court documents through established channels and maintain updated records.
- Handle fee collections and manage bank deposits, ensuring accurate transaction records.
- Prepare daily reports and correspondence, including client notifications and follow-ups.
- Administer alcohol testing as a backup for the Drug and Alcohol Testing Division.

DIFFICULTY
Tasks are performed under general supervision, adhering to established office policies and procedures. Daily deadlines for reports and collections require focused attention and adaptability to changing priorities.

Frequent interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS USED
Personal computer, word processing software, and specialized applications.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Primarily an indoor role at a desk, utilizing a video display terminal.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Proficient in managing multi-line phone systems, understanding intake procedures, and possessing strong customer service skills. Familiarity with court documentation processes and the ability to handle time-sensitive information is essential.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid Florida Driver license and maintain a favorable driving record.
Selection Guidelines:
Formal application, evaluation of education and experience, interviews, reference checks, and drug testing.
FLSA STATUS:
Non-Exempt. This position involves customer intake and the maintenance of probation records.
