The Events Coordinator's responsibilities includes planning and executing fundraising events as well as coordinating community outreach and education events and legal advice clinics. The fundraising events would support the eastern portion of the 16 county service area in conjunction with Philanthropy team to build relationships with funders and host exciting events that generate donor interest and participation. The community outreach events will include partnering with legal delivery staff to service the community with legal knowledge and make our services accessible utilizing the Justice on the Block mobile vehicles. The Events Coordinator will work with internal teams such as Communications department and the Philanthropy departments as well as vendors and community partners. The position can be based out of our Tallahassee or Quincy offices.

In addition to high-level skills in organization, communication, and meeting deadlines, the Events Coordinator should have experience working with budgets and managing vendors relationships. Attention to detail and a high level of organization and accountability is required for event logistics and running day-of-show tasks. The ability to view community events with our client's needs in mind is critical to success. This role requires critical thinking skills to ask good questions, prioritize the projects, and act in a proactive manner. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, Excel Spreadsheets, and basic office technology required. College degree and/or relevant experience required.

Entry level annualized salary of $38,000 is negotiable depending on experience. Comprehensive fringe benefits package includes:

  • M-F with flexible schedule
  • Paid time off includes holidays, sick leave, and personal leave (which after two years, increases to four weeks per year)
  • 100% fully paid health insurance for employee & dependent children after 60 days of employment
  • Employer paid life insurance policy of $10,000
  • Employer contributes 6% to retirement/ 401K plan, after one year of full-time service
  • Additional voluntary options of dental, vision, term life, disability, and other insurance coverages are also available
  • Salary paid monthly by direct deposit
