General Overview of Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY
This role is situated within the Office of Intervention and Detention Alternatives (OIDA), committed to improving the quality of life for the individuals it serves, while aiding them in becoming responsible and productive members of society. Responsibilities include assisting clients and OIDA personnel with appointments, inquiries, data management, processing payments for court-mandated services and restitution, handling court documentation, and preparing correspondence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. **Customer Service**: Provide professional assistance by answering multi-line phone systems, routing calls, and taking messages. Welcome visitors courteously and ensure they sign in. Maintain the Front Desk log and inform the Officer of client arrivals.

2. **Client Intake and File Management**: Ensure all clients receive the correct documentation and clear instructions. Adhere to office protocols for creating intake folders for newly assigned or reinstated clients, ensuring all sections are completed before scheduling initial appointments. Prepare client file folders and generate necessary reports for Officers on a daily or weekly basis. Process court documents through the appropriate channels and maintain updated records.

3. **Fee Collection and Banking**: Accept payments for court-ordered services, whether in-person or via mail, and accurately log transactions in the point of sale system (POS). Confirm that transactions are credited correctly and verify waivers or accruals to ensure accurate payment amounts. Conduct daily deposit procedures for the transportation of collected funds to the bank.

4. **Reporting and Correspondence**: Complete daily spreadsheets and logs, including Physical Contact spreadsheets and FDLE Dissemination logs. Make daily calls to clients scheduled for testing, documenting outcomes in the relevant modules. Generate and mail FTA Capias letters as needed.

5. **Alcohol Testing Administration**: Serve as a backup for the Drug and Alcohol Testing Division, administering breathalyzer tests and accurately recording results.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND REQUIREMENTS
This position primarily involves indoor work at a desk using a video display terminal.

QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma is required, along with two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Florida Driver's license and a clean driving record are also necessary.

SELECTION PROCESS
Applicants will undergo a formal application process, including evaluation of education and experience, an interview, reference checks, and drug testing.

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt. This role involves customer intake and the maintenance of probation records.
