Job Summary

The Rainforest Alliance Inc is seeking a seasoned fundraising professional to join our team as a Senior Major Gifts Officer. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the conservation and sustainability space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, families, and foundations.
  • Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, including research, qualification, and stewardship.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage fundraising opportunities and assess potential donors.
  • Develop and implement events and activities to engage major gift donors and discover new prospects for cultivation.
  • Track and report relationship management activity using Salesforce.
  • Build and analyze reports in Salesforce to report progress against cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising goals.
Requirements
  • College degree required.
  • 3-5 years of successful experience in major and planned gift fundraising, preferably in conservation, climate, or environment.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills, and experience in developing clear and concise funding proposals.
  • Proven success in meeting financial goals for major gift giving, securing five-figure gifts and above.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with major gift donors and various collaborators, customers, partners, and team members.
  • Experience with Development databases, preferably Salesforce.
What We Offer
  • National Salary range (Excluding NY and DC) - $63,655- $90,906
  • New York Salary Range - $75,605- $108,007
  • Washington DC Salary Range - $73,180- $104,542
