Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gift Officer to join our team at MedStar Health. As a key member of our philanthropy team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift prospects to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and develop strategic plans to secure gifts of $1M+
  • Develop and implement thoughtful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans for prospective donors
  • Ensure regular contact with donors through various activities and communications
  • Identify and develop joint major giving opportunities in collaboration with colleagues and team members
  • Provide technical support and options regarding planned and deferred gifts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in healthcare philanthropy, ideally within a health system setting
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) or CFRE eligible
