Job Overview

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Facilities General Maintenance Worker.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Facilities General Maintenance Worker is responsible for a range of tasks related to the upkeep and repair of buildings, facilities, and various equipment. This role may involve performing lock repairs, woodworking, electrical work, painting, heating, and ventilation services, as well as other routine maintenance duties essential for the operation of facilities and equipment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Executing various repair and maintenance tasks while assisting skilled trades personnel, including but not limited to replacing floor tiles, changing electrical ballasts and fluorescent tubes, graffiti removal, fence repairs, asphalt or concrete patching, setting forms, and installing dispensers.
  • Operating equipment for woodworking, furniture, and flooring repairs.
  • Arranging and moving furniture and equipment; preparing rooms for meetings or events.
  • Conducting minor inspections of completed work or general building conditions under supervision.
  • Cleaning facilities and grounds, including debris removal and proper storage of tools and materials.
  • Maintaining consistent attendance and availability for on-site work during business hours and as required.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by management or designated representatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Promoting safety and adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Performing other related responsibilities as necessary.
