We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at Butterball, LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain the refrigeration system, including compressors, components, condensers, air units, and air conditioning units.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as scheduled to ensure optimal system performance.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and repair of refrigeration and ice conveying equipment in plant and freezer areas.
- Start up equipment during pre-shift, such as ice makers and chillers.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on process and refrigeration equipment.
- Complete required paperwork and logs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and maintain paperwork throughout shift.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions and policies.
- Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
- Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
This position requires the ability to work in extreme temperature conditions, some below -20 degrees. Preventive maintenance is often scheduled on plant down days or Saturdays. There is mandatory seasonal work for approximately 5 to 6 weeks during the months of October and November, which includes working 7 days per week. Job assignments are subject to the supervisor's discretion, and job duties may vary day-to-day depending on department needs.
