Position Overview:

The Senior Account Executive operates in a field-based capacity, focusing on direct sales that encompass both client retention and expansion through the enhancement of existing contracts and the introduction of innovative products and services. This role involves collaboration with C-level executives to formulate and execute a comprehensive, enterprise-wide strategy that optimizes the value derived from Gartner's offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client accounts with the goal of enhancing customer satisfaction and driving retention and growth.
  • Responsible for achieving a quota exceeding $800,000 in contract value within a designated territory of major client accounts.
  • Exhibit mastery and consistent application of Gartner's established sales methodologies.
  • Conduct thorough account planning and territory management.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain a competitive edge through continuous knowledge acquisition.
  • Possess in-depth understanding of Gartner's suite of products and services.

Qualifications:

  • 8-15 years of demonstrated experience in consultative sales, ideally within high technology sectors (services, software, or consultative environments), showcasing a history of success in sales.
  • Exhibit strong intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales expertise.
  • Proven track record of building robust client relationships at the C-level within large enterprise organizations.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills and effective presentation capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the complete sales process lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred.
