Position Overview

The Marketing Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing daily marketing tasks and initiatives. This includes overseeing various marketing functions such as public relations, direct marketing, advertising, creative production, special events, and promotional activities within the casino and hotel sectors. The role also involves compiling data and assessments to inform future marketing strategies.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with five (5) years of marketing experience; or a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline with at least one (1) year of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and project management skills are essential.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and obtain an Osage Nation gaming license.
  • Documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States is required.
  • Preference will be given to Osage, Native American, and Veteran applicants.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:

Communication:
  • Stay informed about company updates and communications through property bulletin boards, digital signage, and newsletters.
  • Effectively communicate concerns and updates to supervisors while actively listening to feedback.
  • Propose ideas for improvements to management following the established chain of command.
  • Manage internal marketing communications and provide timely updates to property operations teams.
Department Operations:
  • Assist the Marketing Programming Supervisor in planning casino promotional events and coordinating marketing functions.
  • Oversee the execution of promotions at assigned properties.
  • Manage projects within budgetary limits, providing documentation for any variances.
  • Reconcile invoices with job orders and investigate discrepancies.
  • Handle vendor payments through purchase requisitions and disbursements.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor marketing activities and collect relevant materials.
  • Ensure all advertisements receive necessary approvals before publication.
  • Work with the Marketing Programming Supervisor to establish requirements for special events.
  • Prepare event proposals and end-of-month reports.
  • Attend events to ensure guest satisfaction and manage event setup and breakdown.
  • Support marketing staff in planning events that promote partner programs.
  • Contribute to team efforts and achieve related results as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Guest Service:
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external guests, treating everyone with respect.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, maintaining a positive and helpful demeanor.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Foster positive relationships with company staff and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct all duties in alignment with company values, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English, with the ability to interpret company reports and documents.
  • Capable of performing both routine and complex mathematical calculations.
  • Maintain confidentiality to protect company interests.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while following instructions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with management, coworkers, and the public.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Utilize MS Office applications at an intermediate level.
  • Exercise sound judgment and seek guidance when necessary.
  • Identify and avoid potential safety hazards.
  • Respond to inquiries or complaints from various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel locally or between properties as required.
  • Maintain physical fitness to perform job duties effectively.
  • Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional networking.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for various tasks.
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pushing, or pulling as needed.
  • Must have normal hearing and effective verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and lift weights up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
  • Work is typically conducted in an office and casino environment.
  • Exposure to second-hand smoke may occur.
  • Evening and weekend shifts may be necessary, along with extended hours.
  • Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.
  • Travel between properties may be required based on business needs.
