Role Summary: The Production Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Production Supervisor by managing production activities during their shift. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, product quality standards, sanitation practices, and environmental regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of the production line with the incoming Operations Coordinator.
  • Ensure staffing levels align with production requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication with team members during shift transitions.
  • Maintain a consistent leadership presence on the production floor.
  • Complete the Daily Check Sheet accurately.
  • Manage assigned investigations and projects as necessary.
  • Coordinate breaks and meal times for team members.
  • Ensure on-the-job training is comprehensive and effective.
  • Prepare for upcoming production needs and challenges.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, including personnel and operational processes.
  • Capability to perform various roles within the production environment.
  • Proficiency in identifying and addressing potential safety concerns related to personnel and food products.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards for food safety and sanitation.
  • Experience in setting up and operating automated batch processing systems.
  • Knowledge of packaging machinery setup and operation.
