Enterprise Engineering Role:

This position is integral to the Enterprise Engineering (EE) division, which establishes technical standards, tools, processes, training, and expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. The EE team enables all Blue Origin business units to leverage shared capabilities, hardware, and software, while also aiding in the identification, selection, and training of engineers from both internal and external sources.

Key Responsibilities:

In this capacity, you will oversee the avionics technical framework, ensuring compliance throughout the development and operational phases of various product lines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving technical decisions across multiple Blue Origin business units to facilitate the successful design, development, acquisition, and integration of avionics.
  • Managing the development of technical baselines and implementing standardized avionics strategies.
  • Leading Technical Evaluation Committees and resolving critical technical challenges.
  • Collaborating with Program Chief Engineers to enhance the quality of avionics design, development, and integration.

The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering and collaboration skills, essential for supporting our customers' missions effectively.


Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in advanced spacecraft avionics design and development.
  • Experience in spacecraft integration and testing within a dynamic environment.
  • A solid understanding of Flight Software (FSW) and wire harness design.

Successful candidates will demonstrate leadership, technical judgment, and a commitment to the highest standards of technical excellence, working closely with business units and engineering leadership to achieve program objectives with acceptable risk.
