About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Dance Teacher to join our team at RePublic Schools. As a Dance Teacher, you will be responsible for leading dance classes and programs for high school scholars, fostering a love for dance and the arts in our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Dance Classes: Develop and implement engaging dance lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our scholars.
  • Lead Dance Programs: Design and execute dance programs that promote artistic expression, creativity, and physical fitness among our scholars.
  • Cultivate a Love for Dance: Inspire and motivate our scholars to develop a passion for dance, encouraging them to explore their artistic potential.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assess and Evaluate: Regularly assess and evaluate the progress of our scholars, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them improve.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Dance, Education, or a related field.
  • Certification: Valid teaching certification or the ability to obtain certification within the first year of employment.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching dance, working with low-income communities, and a demonstrated ability to elevate the artistic performance and engagement of underserved scholars.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and a passion for dance and the arts.
