Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Lower School Educator who will:

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to the curriculum.

  • Establish and uphold standards of student conduct to foster an optimal learning atmosphere.
  • Build positive relationships with students to create a supportive environment conducive to learning and personal development.
  • Encourage students to cultivate essential skills, attitudes, and knowledge for lifelong learning.
  • Identify and address student needs in collaboration with fellow educators and support staff.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of instruction and student outcomes.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and behavior through various channels.
  • Offer after-school assistance sessions weekly for students requiring additional support or enrichment.
  • Participate in school committees and meetings to contribute to the institution's functionality.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to coach or assist in co-curricular activities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in education or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in a lower school setting.
  • A strong foundation in literacy and mathematics instruction.
  • Experience with various data types to inform teaching practices.
  • Knowledge of innovative classroom practices that promote experiential learning.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for working with students and fostering their growth.
