About the Role

The Senior Account Director - Operations will provide leadership to the assigned Higher Education account, overseeing facility operations for custodial, maintenance, project management, grounds, and sustainability. This position will direct and oversee staff, analyzing procedures to enhance accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, manage, and lead teams with a focus on continuous improvement, selecting and developing professionals and leaders.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with customer teams and internal ABM on-site teams.
  • Lead a flagship account, ensuring operations meet the highest standards.
  • Influence and support functional strategy, determining, evaluating, and modifying goals and resource allocation to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Support, motivate, and promote the team by building a positive and thriving team environment.
  • Plan, monitor, and schedule facility modifications, designing and developing building space allocation.
  • Direct overall department processes for integration of services and systems.
  • Participate in facilities planning processes and direct the implementation of strategic direction.
  • Direct initiatives to improve quality performance and customer service.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment to meet customer needs and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain daily and weekly labor management control.
  • Identify, analyze, and review issues, documenting and reporting any issues.
  • Prepare plans for long-range improvement projects to maintain infrastructure.
  • Maintain accountability for area budgeting, including selection, installation, and replacement of materials and equipment.
  • Implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree, facilities management certifications, leadership programs.

Experience: 7-10 years of relevant facilities experience, leader of people (5+ years, 50 to 250 FTEs), PL management (5+ years).

Other:

Licenses: Technical trade licenses preferred but not required.
