The Account Director at ABM Industries is responsible for overseeing operational management and administrative activities to ensure delivery of facilities management services in conformity with contractual requirements.

The Director will positively contribute to the strategic direction and performance across multi-functional teams to ensure best value service delivery.

The Director sets standards in operational excellence and continuous improvement, developing and implementing cost control measures and level of service standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications and contract requirements.

The Director ensures that all activities are conducted in a safe, healthy, secure, sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective manner to support the organization.

ABM Industries is a leading provider of facility solutions with revenues of approximately $8 billion and over 130,000 employees in 300 offices deployed throughout the United States and various international locations.

The company provides comprehensive capabilities including electrical & lighting, energy solutions, facilities engineering, HVAC & mechanical, janitorial, landscape & turf, mission critical solutions, and parking, provided through stand-alone or integrated solutions.

The Director will lead the delivery of facilities management services in an efficient and sustainable manner, including oversight of project planning and evaluation, budgeting and cost estimation, scope development and implementation.

The Director manages the company's quality control monitoring, safety, training, and diversity programs at the assigned account.

The Director ensures the company meets and exceeds Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across all service lines.

The Director drives innovation and creative problem-solving across all service lines.

The Director ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local government regulations.

The Director analyzes and manages, in a proactive manner, both the financial and operational performance of the assigned account.

The Director develops and manages quarterly/annual budgets for the account and performs periodic cost and productivity analysis.

The Director is responsible for capital planning and cash flow reporting, along with company support, to produce capital justification for executive-level presentation.

The Director manages and provides leadership to Managers and Lead personnel assigned to the account.

The Director oversees managers to ensure that all paperwork, including terminations, labor variance action plans, and operational model, is complete and accurate and submitted to the district/hub in a timely manner.

The Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of personnel within the assigned building.

The Director appraises performance, addresses complaints, resolves problems, and terminates employees.

The Director establishes and implements short- and long-range account goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures.

The Director leads sustainability and building efficiency initiatives.

The Director ensures that third-party service providers perform their duties as per contractual requirements and agreed service level agreements and expectations.

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and a minimum of 5 or more years of relevant and extensive facilities management experience in a service/customer-oriented environment is required.

The ideal candidate will have experience in articulation of technical acumen and understanding of same as it relates to building operations and technical systems maintenance and operations.

The candidate will have experience directly managing large multifunctional facilities teams.

The candidate will have the ability to build relationships and partnerships with different clients and service partners and deliver results that meet the needs and expectations of the clients.

The candidate will have experience in budgeting, expense control, and financial forecasting/analysis.

The candidate will have experience in negotiating with labor unions.

The candidate will be dedicated and passionate to the delivery of services at the highest level with a clear client-oriented focus.
