Position Overview

The Automotive Lot Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive purchasing experience for our clientele by maintaining the accessibility and aesthetic appeal of the dealership, lot, and vehicles. This position is vital to our team dynamics, the sales process, and fostering lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare vehicles for sale, auction, or trade in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and prepare vehicles for delivery as per the required standards.
  • Receive and prepare vehicles from auctions, trades, or purchases following the correct protocols.
  • Ensure proper merchandising of vehicles on the lot, including the correct installation of plate frames and inserts.
  • Verify that vehicles are certified accurately and that the corresponding stickers are displayed correctly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of vehicles.
  • Organize and maintain a tidy lot, including repositioning vehicles to optimize space.
  • Perform daily checks on vehicles and report any issues or concerns, recognizing necessary repairs that should be escalated.
  • Ensure vehicles are adequately fueled.
  • Complete and display required forms and stickers appropriately.
  • Catalog and manage vehicle keys.
  • Wash and detail vehicles as needed.
  • Confirm that all vehicles, gates, and external doors are secured at the end of the day, and ensure all tools and supplies are stored properly.
  • Perform seasonal tasks such as landscaping, snow removal, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the dealership's interior, including trash disposal, restroom cleaning, and surface sanitation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A collaborative team player committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Able to lift 50-60 pounds and stand or walk on hard surfaces for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Competent in operating a diverse range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans, with both automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Pass a motor vehicle report and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Undergo a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening, with random testing as required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The physical demands outlined here represent the requirements that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The physical requirements for the Automotive Lot Coordinator include:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
  • Regular communication abilities.
  • Ability to lift or move items weighing at least 50 pounds.
  • Vision capabilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
Team members typically work 40 hours per week, primarily outdoors on the sales lot. The work environment may vary from quiet and calm to fast-paced, with occasional exposure to loud noises and hazardous conditions.
