As a Production Technician at PURIS, you will play a crucial role in maintaining optimal plant operations, ensuring a 90% uptime while executing your daily responsibilities related to plant operations and food safety.
To uphold product quality, it is essential to maintain a clean working environment. Technicians are expected to comply with PURIS' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and Quality Standards consistently.
Safety is our utmost priority; therefore, Production Technicians must follow all plant policies regarding Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate plant equipment, managing product flow to ensure peak performance and addressing any issues promptly.
- Execute routine and non-routine tasks safely while supporting our safety culture.
- Handle various duties related to the receipt of raw material loads into the facility.
- Complete necessary documentation and process check sheets regularly.
- Operate packaging machinery and conduct quality checks throughout the production process.
- Assist in loading different types of shipping containers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the plant.
- Support plant preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as required.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- Previous fork truck experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with GMPs and Food Safety is a plus.
- A minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment or relevant agricultural experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Eagerness to learn and assist others.
- Proficient in reading and understanding work-related documents.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Capable of performing physical labor.
- Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing, eye, and hand protection.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for over 10 hours during your shift.
- Must be able to climb stairs multiple times throughout the shift.
- Must be able to reach above head occasionally.
- Must be able to work safely at elevated platforms when necessary.
