Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our esteemed client, a leading independent exploration and production company in the energy sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and performance of control systems at the Norsea Terminal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industrial cybersecurity standards, ensuring compliance of ICS systems with corporate policies.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of Fiscal metering systems and various ICS components, including Batch and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
  • Participate in a 24/7 emergency response team for control systems.
  • Provide expertise in the design, installation, and commissioning of ICS and Fiscal Metering systems, along with minor control and instrumentation projects.
  • Manage the configuration, hardware, software, backup, and security of ICS systems.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, project scopes, inquiry documents, and material requisitions.
  • Ensure Control Systems are maintained in accordance with established procedures and assist in annual audits.
  • Verify that all modifications comply with site procedures and have the necessary documentation and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Conduct system troubleshooting and implement safe, effective solutions.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A Degree in Control, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Chartered status or progression towards it is preferred.
  • Experience with Control Systems and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, or other regulated sectors.
  • Proficient in maintaining ICS system cybersecurity in line with industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with Fiscal measurement systems.
  • Understanding of Functional Safety Management and Safety Integrity Levels (SIL).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the project lifecycle, including problem definition, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP software.
