Position Overview:

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that values your contributions and supports your professional growth. You will collaborate with industry experts to assist leading companies in overcoming their most complex challenges. Your role will be within our Control System Integration Practice, where you will work alongside experienced leaders and technical specialists to deliver top-notch solutions to our clients consistently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will engage both independently and collaboratively to support capital projects and implement effective solutions for our clients. Your efforts will help clients make essential improvements to enhance their performance and achieve their critical objectives.
  • Design automation control systems; create project specifications, documentation, and schematics for various high-speed and automated manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in multiple phases of automation projects, including software configuration, testing, commissioning, installation, and start-up.
  • Take responsibility for comprehensive project execution, including team leadership, SCADA design, PLC and HMI programming, and site start-up support for integrated systems.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Troubleshoot packaging lines, process systems, and software systems.
  • Effectively manage multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize your skills and expertise to make a daily impact, strengthening relationships with clients and team members.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant automation experience with HMI, SCADA, PLCs, and general control system design.
  • Experience in packaging and process controls within the consumer products, life sciences, or beverage/food industries is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PLC5, SLC500), PanelView HMIs, and Industrial Communication Networks (Ethernet, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, DH+).
  • Experience with FactoryTalk Suite, Intellution Suite, Wonderware Suite, and programming languages such as Visual Basic, C#, or Java is preferred.
  • Prior engineering consulting experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with clients.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • A willingness to travel for project-related activities, including installations, client meetings, training sessions, and industry events.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
