Position Overview
NES Fircroft is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to enhance our operations in the energy sector. This role involves providing specialized technical support for the maintenance, enhancement, configuration, and administration of control systems within industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with industrial cybersecurity standards and best practices for control systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of fiscal metering systems and control systems, including Batch and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
  • Participate in a 24/7 emergency response rotation for control systems issues.
  • Deliver design, installation, and commissioning expertise for control systems and minor instrumentation projects.
  • Manage the configuration, hardware, software, and security of control systems.
  • Prepare project cost estimates, scopes of work, and procurement documentation.
  • Maintain control systems in line with established procedures and support annual compliance audits.
  • Ensure all modifications adhere to site procedures and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Conduct system diagnostics and implement effective solutions safely.

Qualifications & Experience
  • A degree in Control, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Chartered status or progress towards it is preferred.
  • Experience with control systems and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in regulated industries such as Oil & Gas or Chemicals.
  • Familiarity with maintaining cybersecurity for control systems in accordance with industry standards.
  • Knowledge of fiscal measurement systems and functional safety management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle from conception to completion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
